Zappaty is downloading – what next?
You are seeing this page because you have started to download the Zappaty app for Mac, if your download has not started, click here to download again. When downloaded you’ll need to install the app. If you are only receiving a file, you don’t need to log in, but you’ll still need the app. If you are sharing files, you’ll need to log in with a Zappaty account.
Step-by-step guide – download & install
Just follow these quick steps below:
STEP 1
Finish download
When Zappaty is downloaded you will see it appear under the Downloads icon on your browser and in your Downloads folder in Finder.
STEP 2
Install the Zappaty app
Simply double-click the package file Zappaty.pkg (the open box icon). You will be asked to approve the installation of an app from a third party (Zappaty in this case) by entering your Mac access password. It will then start installing the app and remove the package file.
STEP 3
Log in to Zappaty
(only if you are sending a folder – if not go to Step 4)
Once Zappaty has installed on your Mac, you can open the app by clicking on the Zappaty app icon on your Mac Dock or in Applications within Finder. You will need to log in with the email and password used when you signed up.
Our Support section has a number of quick guides on sending and receiving folders and files.
STEP 4
Receiving your first folder
If you’ve been sent folders through Zappaty for the first time, return to the original email you were sent (from donotreply@zappaty.com) and click on the link to download the folder.
Tip – As this is a new email address sending info to you, double-check your junk/spam folder or add this email address to your contacts to mark it as safe.
STEP 5
Saving your first folder
As Zappaty is all about the big stuff – we will save and synch a folder (rather than individual files) on your Mac so you need to choose a location for each new folder sent. Every time you upload that folder in the Zappaty app it will share updates of all new content saved in that folder.
Note:
- – Avoid using the desktop to store folders
- – Do not move the folder to a different location after the folder has been chosen
