The Milngavie Blue 2008s (now U18s) have gone on an incredible run over the past three seasons, with an amazing 3 back-to-back promotions:

• 2022/23 – Division D champions, winning the title by a single point
• 2023/24 – Division C champions, finishing 10 points clear and lifting the Divisional Cup, with a near-miss in the League Cup final (losing out on penalties)
• 2024/25 – Division B runners-up, just one point off the title, and securing their third straight promotion, plus a trophy win in a tournament in the Netherlands

 

They now start their final youth season in Division A – a fantastic achievement that reflects consistency, team spirit, and real progression.

What makes this story even better is that 14 of the 19 players in the squad played in Division D, and the entire squad is made up of local lads, with the squad being a relatively equal mix of the three main local secondary schools.
