Zappaty has been built with ease of use in mind, but we all have moments where we need a bit of help. We’ve got some helpful support information here for you – if there’s something we haven’t covered just let us know. 

Step-by-step guide – Start sending files today

To receive files you don’t need to register, but you do need to download the Zappaty app.

Sign up for Zappaty

Register with Zappaty, all we need is your name, email address, and password to register for the service.

STEP 2

Download the Zappaty app & install

The app is needed to encrypt files before they leave your PC. Windows 10/11 only!

STEP 3

Start sending files today!

1. Download and install the Zappaty app on your PC
2. Go to the files you want to share in File Explorer
3. Right-click the folder you want to share and choose
Zappaty > Share Folder
4. Sign in to the Zappaty app, if you’re not signed in already*

5. Enter the email address details and a short message for the recipient
6. Click share and follow the prompts
7. Your files are on their way – your recipient will get an email with download instructions

* If you’ve not got a log-in or forgotten your password, follow the instructions to register or reset password.

Check your inbox for Zappaty email

Check your inbox for an email from Zappaty - info@zappaty.com.

Click the link in the email to download the file.

Step 2

Get Zappaty app

If you don’t have the Zappaty app installed it will prompt you to download and install the app that securely decrypts the files (no registration required).

Step 3

Download the received files

Click the link again in the email and it will download the files to your PC.

With Zappaty you can receive files, make changes and send them back easily, quickly and securely

Once you have downloaded the files (as shown above) you're ready to make changes and send back those files.

Step 2

Make your changes

You're ready to make changes - make your amendments to the files in the folder you wish to send back.

Step 3

Upload to Zappaty app

Open the Zappaty App, select the folder from ‘My Projects’ you wish to send back. Click upload. Done!

Zappaty app

Yes. Zappaty supports windows 10/11. MacOs, Mobile and Linux will be coming soon.

Zappaty breaks down the data within your file, writes it to a blockchain and sends individual blocks to the Zappaty cloud. Zappaty encrypts the files before they leave your machine. When a recipient wants to receive the file, these blocks are reassembled and decrypted for the recipient using their Zappaty app.

Zappaty uses the app to encrypt files for upload to the Zappaty cloud, then the app also decrypts the file at point of download.

Unlimited - we do not charge or limit the number of users. You call the shots.

Both! You can use it to share content with friends or important documents or concepts with colleagues or clients - it's up to you what you use it for, with price plans aimed at getting the world sharing.

Yes, you fully own the content you share with Zappaty’s help. It's yours to share, not ours.

The link must be used in 7 days but once utilised you can take whatever time you like.

The sender can request a new link within the Zappaty app at any time.

Zappaty offers large storage and secure encryption - we use an app to encrypt content. We don't charge by upload or download quantity and don't limit the number of users.

Unlike WeTransfer, you can allow colleagues to make changes to the document and send you the revised version back.

You can share a file with anyone, you do not need to set up a team within the software.

Your Details

We need a minimal amount of information - your name, email address and company (if appropriate). You will need to set up a password so you can use the app again and again.

We use your email address in the sign-up process as this is our main method for communicating with you. You need to verify your email address so we know it's you signing up.

Yes, we offer a FREE 30-day trial of Zappaty and then low cost options to get your sharing with the world.

We have two low cost options for subscribing to Zappaty and getting the best out of our file sharing tech - the main difference is the storage you require.

No, we only charge for the amount of content you store with us through two simple price plan options.

Yes you can do this any time.

Zappaty accepts all valid credit cards.

Zappaty will charge you from the day you sign up, and on the same date each subsequent month.

Zappaty collects purchase tax on subscriptions where it’s required by law. Please contact your local tax authority for details in your country of residence. Providing us the relevant tax numbers may allow you to not pay tax and we will pay it for you. This will be calculated automatically at the point of purchase.

Zappaty currently accepts payment in: British Pounds (£), Euros (€), and US Dollars ($).

Yes, you can upgrade your Zappaty plan at any time.

No, you will not lose or break your project if you upgrade to a new version of Zappaty. Any data stored by Zappaty will be usable by newer versions of Zappaty.

Our free trial of Zappaty allows you to send and receive files up to 2GB of data stored in the Zappaty cloud.

You get unlimited sending, unlimited users, and 50GB of storage for your files.

You get unlimited sending, unlimited users, and 200GB of storage for your files.
